Review of Lori Looms Shop and Giveaway

This Giveaway is Closed

Good morning and welcome to WPG.

I'm happy to review yet another Artist's shop for you.

This time I'm reviewing a knitter's shop and this one is called,
Lori Looms and it's owner is named Lori.
Lori is very nice and she knits on square or circle looms.
She does not use any patterns, but she simply knits her items as she goes along.

Her shop is very friendly and is filled with beautiful knitted scarves, fingerless gloves and hats.
This shop is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping.

I've asked a few questions to Lori, so let's see what she had to say.

What's your name and where are you from?
Lori Blevins - I'm originally from Memphis TN and moved to Cincinnati around 5 years ago.

What or who inspires you?
I really get inspired at the end of summer when the weather starts to turn cool. I suddenly get all these ideas of different scarves and cowls I want to create. I only wish I had these ideas in the spring when I had tons of time to make them all! Lately, I'm really into vintage/retro looking scarves, like the avocado green with the burnt orange zigzags in them. I hope to have some posted soon.

What got you attracted to hemp at first. (I don't use hemp)

What do you do when you’re not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?
When I'm not looming I'm a mom to a 3 yr old girl Savannah and our newest addition, a 2 month old boy, Thatcher. I think though I'm still an artist when not looming as my 3 yr old and I are always doing some sort of craft; we're always working on an art project to hang somewhere in the house.

Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
My all time favorite item I've creating is my Patchwork scarf. I've only made 2 but I long to make more, they are just more time consuming than anything else and when sales are high in the fall and winter I just can't spare the time to make any more. I keep promising myself I'll make one just for me.

Are there other places on the net we can find you?
I use Twitter mostly. I like how it's short and sweet and to the point with whatever I have to say at the time. I also have a newsletter that I just started that offer readers special sale info before it's posted on my Etsy site as well as current projects I'm working on and links to other Etsy shops that have items that coordinate well with items from my shop.
